Voicemail Reference Sheet


To Initialize Your Mailbox

Dial the voicemail extension number 2500. You will hear “Welcome to the Mitel Voice Processing System”

1. Press the * key to identify yourself as a subscriber.

2. Enter your mailbox number and default password.  When doing this for the first time, your mailbox number and your password are the same as your extension number.

3. Enter a new password using the 0-9 digits (up to 12 digits), and press the # key.  The system prompts you to record your name.  After the tone, record your first and last name.  When finished, press #.

4. The system then plays a prompt that introduces you to the basic voicemail features.

To set your greeting

1. Dial voicemail extension 2500.

2. Press *, enter your extension, the password, and then press #.

3. Press 4 from the main menu for Personal options.

4. Follow the prompts.

To Retrieve messages

Internally

1. Dial voicemail extension 2500. When your hear the auto attendant greeting, press *.

2. Enter your mailbox number (extension number) and password, and then press #.

3. Select from available options to listen to messages.

Externally

1. Dial the main number (424-7396).  When you hear the auto attendant greeting, press *.

2. Enter your mailbox number (extension number) and password, and then press #.

3. Select from available options to listen to messages.

From your email

Each time a voice message is left on your office desk phone; the voice message processor sends a copy of the same message as an attachment to your mmc email address. Please locate any email in your inbox folder whose sender is mitel@martinmethodist.edu. Then open the attached file to listen to your message.
